Sumit is known for his transformative contributions to Indian cinema and digital media. His latest success, Vishay Hard, is one of the most critically acclaimed Marathi films of 2024, earning rave reviews nationwide. In 2018, he broke new ground with India's Digital Chef, India’s first-ever digital cooking reality show, starring celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Sumit has produced and created the upcoming digital Hindi film Barkha Sarkar, set for an OTT release. His psychological thriller short तत् त्वम् असि । (You Are That), which he wrote and directed, has won multiple awards, including Best Short Film at the Prabhat Chitra Society in 2017. Sumit has made a mark in television as a producer and creative director, working on Crime Alert and becoming the youngest TV serial producer in India. He has also contributed in creating ads for major brands like Flipkart and Kelloggs, and assisted on TVCs for production houses. Notably, Sumit was in the direction team for the National Award-winning film Turtle in the last schedule. His upcoming feature, X Cab, as a writer has already been acquired by a leading producer.
